after authoring, blank dvd won't burn

Used Shrink for long time without problem. then one time, after backup,when I put in a blank DVD, burner ejects it out and give message that the media is not writable. I have try different brand of DVD blanks but they all did same thing.

Now this same sort of thing has been puzzling me for a while now, my drive is a Sony DRU-700A (12x dual layer burner) and my firmware doesn't cater for 16x discs as far as i know, and i've just ordered some 16x discs to see if my drive can use them...
