When backing up Hide and Seek there are 5 titles (all about 1 hr 40-42 min). Which one is the original theatrical performance? I am assuming that it is title 1, am I correct? I assume the other four are for alternate endings.

You are absolutely right. Can you believe they included FOUR alternate endings??? I would be curious to learn how to add a menu to the main title to access the endings only, though...

Don't know about a menu but you can select the five titles (movie only) and edit using DVD Shrink so the you only select the modified ending for titles 2 through 4. The resulting disk will play the full theatrical film followed by the four alternate endings.

the original DVD should have the theatrical version first, displayed as Theatrical Cut/ Theatrical Version. Followed by Alternate Cuts/Alternate Versions.

What got me is why they felt the need for 4 diff versions of the whole movie with the alt endings atop of just the alt endings as extras. I didnt notice any change in the movie/story in all 5 versions and I watched them all back to back in one nite :P The ending changed but thats about it.

Hi, this is kinda off topic, but did you guys have any trouble decrypter or shrink? Decrypter stops @ 50% and stops.
Any suggestions?

cmax420,
Had no problem with R1 issue, DVD Decrypter ver 3.5.4.0 with DVD Shrink ver 3.2 to transcode -> burn with DVD Decrypter.
regards

maybe you got a bad (poorly manufactured/pressed) disk. Try cleaning it or setting DVDD to ignore errors. If that fails get another copy.
