If your player supports DivX it will work..? There aren't many out there that do, but yours should say somewhere if it does or not you can also check here http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

You will more than likley have to convert it and there is a neat little proggy that will do this for you easily DvXtoDVD by VSO. Just run your file(s) through that proggy and then Shrink it (if needed) and burn it with your most favorite burning application.. :-)

whitedude,
I have used both DivXtoDVD by VSO and santadvd. If you are converting mrvb file use santadvd and if you are converting DixX movie file I would suggest using DivXtoDVD. For speed wise DivXtoDVD is the choice. Listen to bbmayo becos he sure knows what he is doing.
He is quite experience in this field.
As for TMPGEnc you will have to have patient with this proggy. You will need to do a lot of reading and try and error in order to use this software. Most of the dvd players will not play DivX movie and you will have to convert it first.
As for me I will not use TMPGEnc becos I find it quite troublesome to use it. I prefer simple interface and easy to use programe instead of complicated one and you will tend have less error.
I must admit I am a bit impatient but on the safety ground I will prefer to use a simple programme to do all my dvd backup.
(I am simple man with a simple song Heheehehehe).
hey whitedude nice talking to you, man.

Hi there,

DivXtoDVD v0.5.2b was just a preview of what will be DivXToDVD Pro or commercial if they name it this.

I have heard VSO are working real hard on a new version now.

Keep your eyes open !!

i personally think dvd santa sucks but i use avi2dvd for avi/xvid files it will even make the iso to burn, and change ntsc or pal as it runs, it does the lot and free too!

and the guy who needs to jion subs with avi, avi2dvd will do that too!

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
