hi
i am a newbie to this dvd recording but i wanted to ask for some help
i want to create my .avi 45 min file to a blank 4.7gb dvd

i want to make it so i can play it on my tv dvd player which is region free

i have tryed once by using winavi and burning using nero vision express but i have no audio

i wish to burn the dvd from the .avi file with my subtitle file so i can watch the dvd with subtitles on
i had the video_ts folder and 2 .vob files
i inserted them into nero vision express and took agesssss to burn onto dvd
i am more worried about having my subtitles onto the dvd
i am also more concerned about speed rather than quality
please could somebody help me

i have the following programs

tmpegenc plus
the film machine
dvd shrink
avi2dvd
nero
vso's divx2dvd
winavi
dvdcrypter

please could somebody help me

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

i have tried various encoders but i keep going back to mainconcept mpeg encoder its easy to use and the results are quite good
