Hi
They are the unlock codes for it are you inputting the # pw+ and the # at the end? If so im sorry thats the only codes i can generate i have tried your imei with 2 different calculators and both have produced the same numbers. Is the phone definately locked???? try a different sim card and see. USE THE IMEI FROM THE PHONE NOT THE BOX type *#06# to get it on the handset

@slmh
The advantages are that you can change your phone providor after your contract is up , or if you have a pay as you go, buy the phone from the network thats doing the cheapest phone then change to another network for cheaper calls etc

Sorry to be a muppet, but trying to unlock my nokia 6230 and no luck so far. Have been using these codes:
DCT4 Codes for IMEI: 352953008274320
Provider: 23433
United Kingdom, Orange
Type: 2, V2 Codes
#pw+737230163514636+1#
#pw+384836214250532+2#
#pw+342526774067127+3#
#pw+197244220514441+4#
#pw+403807032150502+5#
#pw+074533103237533+6#
#pw+109164336733462+7#
Tried code 1, then 7, then 4 - all gave code error. I have been entering the whole lot, including the #'s etc...
I'd seen somewhere else that you were NOT to have a sim card in at the time. Then saw this thread which I think said earlier should have one in. Obviously very hesistant to keep trying when I've only got 2 attempts left. I'd already gone out and bought a virgin sim and stupidly dumped my orange account and sim already - I can borrow someone's if needs be though.
So do you have to have a working, i.e. connected orange Sim card in it to unlock?
does it matter if it's someone elses, i.e. not the sim for that phone?
Finally, I know I'm clutching at straws but I assume the 5 tries are permanent? They don't reset after 24 hours, when you take the battery out or anything like that do they?
Thanks to anyone that can help...

Hi
Your not a muppet you have been entering the wrong codes
6230's use asic 6 codes NOT V2 heres the proper codes
Model: Nokia (6230 )
IMEI: 352953008274320
Network: 23433000
#pw+806 511 625 457 325+1#
#pw+139 824 251 740 734+2#
#pw+102 334 222 015 544+3#
#pw+434 527 356 257 535+4#
#pw+952 242 776 034 557+5#
#pw+938 202 354 654 017+6#
#pw+144 414 664 246 427+7#
The 5 tries a permanent you can not reset them if you still have any tries left use code 1 if no joy code 7 you are inputting the codes right, leave out your sim card and keep your fingers crossed
Good luck!

Ta Berty!!!!!
Code 1 worked straight away, and with only 1 try left!! (OK, so we're not quite in 24 territory, but my heart rate went up just a bit)
Thanks again
