Unlock code please? Also, anyone successfully unlocked a Cingular 6230b? Would appreciate some tips. Do I need a valid SIM card to unlock the phone?

it seems you do need a valid sim card inserted in your phone before you enter the codes

Hi Berty

These codes are different to the ones i tried before. Code 1 did not work. I am now on my 5th attempt. Can you explain what happens if this one is wrong - will my phone be locked and unusable? Is this curable?

Thanks a lot for the help!! I got my phone unlocked in 10 secs after entering 7th code.:)

On the flip side, it deleted all the call logs including a chic's phone number:(

If you cant unlock using the codes you can get it unlocked by cable, your phone will just be locked to your own network for now, but will still be usable
