hi guys
Just to let you kno I did another trawl of the AD forums and found that you can set your GEN to ASIC6 on the http://unlock.nokiafree.org/ site and it should work.
Tried the 7th code on the list, and indeed it did unlock the phone - Thanks anyhow

to get mine to work, i had to place a different sim card in like O2, this then prompted me to enter the unlock code...

hi ive been trying to get the correct codes to unlock my brothers Nokia 6230, i gotta say that i dont like Nokia 6230s anymore!!!!!! i cannot find one free code calculator on the net that generates the RIGHT codes, can anybody help me?

Right, well, hello chaps.
I have a 6230, number thingy:356239000301410, locked to 02 UK.
I've switched it on with no sim (it simply shows "insert SIM"), and entered a (#pw+number+number#)code that I was given by a seemingly trustworthy generator, and nothing happens.
It doesn't seem to reject the number, but it doesn't accept it. Do I have to enter it to a different place, and press a button to enter it? Or do I try to phone it?
This probably sounds stupid, I'm sorry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a nokia 6230 and stuffed up the 5 tries thing. after searching the forum for ages i still can't find an answer. i know i have to unlock it by cabel, i have a cabel so where can you find software to do it? does anyone know?

alright i know there are all of those calculators out there that allow you to unlock your nokia phone, but me being the idiot i am didnt know that you can only put a code in 5 times before it locks itself, so i was wondering how you go about unlocking your phone after you have tried 5 times and failed with a restriction code, and is it possible to do over infrared or do u have to have a cable
