Im sure these are stupid questions but I need some help. I am trying to figure out how to burn dvds and so far I have downloaded Dvd43 and Dvd Shrink. My problem is the software to burn the dvds. I have Roxio, muvee autoProducer, and Intervideo WinDvd already on my computer. Will any of these work or do I need another program? If I need another one, could someone please suggest a free or cheap one? Oh it also needs to be VERY easy to use. Thanks so much for any help!!

Roxio will work, but honestly I hate that program. Nero, www.Nero.com, has a 30-day free trial. I use DVD Decrypter (free) mostly. DVD Decrypter only burns image files though.

you can try prassi ones from here http://shop.traxdata.fr/ . i like it much better than Nero . there is a demo version that can be tried before you buy and the retail version is a little over 24 dollars .

I know Roxio will work for files and iso image as well. I used it quite often in the past with older 4x burner and worked well enough coupled with DVD Shrink. I have noticed that when using Roxio is picky with some media. As for DVD43 I would suggest uninstalling and using DVD Decrypter instead. These two will get over 90% of the videos you can now buy in US to backup onto HDD. Beware of installing Nero on system with Roxio installed. You must first look into removal tool called RoxioZap which can be downloaded from Roxio website. Roxio and Nero cause conflict with each other on many systems. So make sure you completely uninstall Roxio if you do plan to switch to Nero. I would suggest staying with Roxio rather than pay the price for Nero. If you must buy software to burn look into Alcohol 120%, which is one of the best out there for burning ISO image. Here is link to guide for DVD Shrink, http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd9_to_dvdr_with_dvd_shr...
When using Roxio all you must do is open program select Data burn, make sure disc size is selected properly then add both AUDIO and VIDEO file backed up from shrink, and that's it....Happy Burns!!!

hey Rad, for the future, please don't start a new thread inside of another. You can start new thread for question and probably get more replies. But anyway, I'm not sure about DVD Cloner 2 looks very pricey and from what I understand will backup a movie with just one click? So no, I would assume that the program creates it's own Temp folder in which to temporarily "rip" movie to HDD before burn process.
