as to the posting issue... it was indeed a dns issue, one server was servicing requests to www.nelsonmania.com whearas the other was only servicing nelsonmania.com; why so many folks were being directed to one not the other is still a mystery. The good news is that both servers are now servicing both. In case you are interested, if you don't host both the web site name and its ALIAS www, folks that don't include the www before the website name won't get serviced; if you create an ALIAS CNAME to www it will do either/or.

well EvaMae... I'm so glad you like it. And nobody has filed an offensive post, yet, so I guess i'm still ok :) It used to be brown, now mostly gray but I've got a lot of it - say thankya :)
I'm letting my beard grow out this month, Evamae, as this year celebrates the 20th year that I have dressed up like Fidel Castro for Halloween - 20 years! I want to make certain my beard, my Cuban stogie (cigar), and my camouflage uniform are in tip-top order.
i will take a picture and post.

You can't forget the signature sidearm at the hip! I've a few you can choose from if need be - there's nothing like authenticism ;)
Is 'authenticism' even a friggin word? ********* Just checked dictionary.com and it says it doesn't exist. I like it anyway :)
*edit* I guess I could've used 'authenticity' but I still like my new word better :P

do you mostly push or pull? not intended to be a stupid question... I understand it could be both, given the total weight of the cars/cargo, eh? Other reasons?

That would depend on the type of train. Thru-freight is all pulling, while yard jobs and locals are for the most part equal in the pushing and pulling.

thanks for the clarification. We have a retired RR man on our street who has fixed up his backyard with a small rail for his grandkids. He also has shrubery trimmed as locomotives, and a hand car out front of his house. It's cute!
My wife and I have a retreat outdide of Santa Cruz, CA not far from Roaring Camp in Felton; they have a narrow guage track as well as a regular track that they use for tourism in the SC mountains as well as commute between Felton and Santa Cruz.
Interesting stuff.

Is that South Carolina or Santa Cruz...I live in South Carolina, not familiar with the mountains in Santa Cruz. LOL
Your local retired RR man sounds like he watches too much Monster House.

Santa Cruz, just North of Monterrey and south of Halfmoon Bay, all south of San Francisico. Wonderful coastline and the weather fabulous most of the year - the storms do get magnificient just not hurricane category. My little digs, of which I'm here now (oh yeah I have broadband in my remote castle ;) is 6 miles from Santa Cruz nestled in the redwoods. I love it here!
