Hey, i was soldering today and when i was soldering a point, a little tiny block came off. Does that need to be soldered back on or can it stay off. Right now the point is just a bump of solder with the wire in it. It looks like it should work but does that little tiny thing need to be there?? Any help would be appreciated.

It is like a little block. I dont know what it is used for but it was black and maybe 8-10 mm long and maybe 5 wide. It was black and had i think 3 letters on it. when i put the solder on it, it stuck to the iron and came off for some odd reason. but i dont know if i need to put it back on or if my bump of solder in the same exact place where the block used to be will work...thankx

if it look like a tiny block with silver on the 2 ends then it sounds like you're talking about a capacitor or resistor. Yes those components are usually needed I would recommend putting it back on the board.
