I am having a problem with DVD X-Copy using an io-magic DVD RW drive. When writing the DVD it errors out at about 65% done. I had a friend with the same issue and he said that there was an executable that needed to be ran just once to properly identify the drive (something like iddrive.exe???) Has anyone else sxperienced the same problem?

Nope don't use it. Try DVD Shrink in conjunction with DVD Decrypter (for newer movies). From all my exploits I have only come across one DVD which I have failed to copy. My mate did a copy of Team America from a region 1 DVD ( Im region 2). He used WINAVI, but whenever I try copying or decrypting it i get read errors, can't even copy it onto HD. Original copy plays fine. Weird, maybe he should be working in the encryption industry 'cos he's got me stumped.

@Bawjawz (Removed by MOD ... DON'T DO THAT SHIT!!!) A SENIOR MEMBER SHOULD NOT POST IN THAT MANNER

You didn't address his question. You just told him to use a pair of useful but no longer supported software packages. If you want to continue to copy newer movies you will probably at least need AnyDVD or DVD43 to break the more recent encryptions.

He asked about DVD X-Copy and I directed him to the approptiate forum.

DVD Decrypter can still break most copy protections on its own.

and your (newbie) comment is un-called for.
