Why don't you tell us what it is you're trying to burn? The time you report seems excessive, so it would be helpful to have more info. Can you provide a Nero log and describe in detail the steps you've taken? Offhand, I don't think the problem is with Nero, but something else.

For a normal DVD compliant movie (ISO or VOB files) burning time with Nero should be less than 15 minutes at 4X.

You may need to ensure that you are using DMA and not PIO mode. Also if you are using an external DVD burner, you need to ensure that you are using USB2 and not USB1.

What are your computer specs? This sounds like an PIO/DMA issues to me. You need to "uninstall" both of your dvd-rom drive and dvd burner's drive. Once you've completed "uninstall" both drivers, your Windows should "automatically" detects the drives and "reinstall" it for you after you restart your computer. Now your DMA should reset it back to DMA if available, instead of in PIO Mode.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

and your Nero log is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log , DON'T post the serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

also, hopefully this thread will get moved to Nero forum
