I have a 16x dvd+-r/+-rw drive double layer 8.5 gb data and i have cd+r writer. Iwant to backup my dvd movies. I have dvd cloner 2 for software. my question is do i have to burn the movie to the hard drive first or is there another way. thanks

Your software should be able to automatically rip DVD to HD and to ask you to provide blank DVD where it will burn movie you're trying to backup. DVD copy option should do this for you.

hi
the easy way ive learnt and use is to use DVD43 running in the background and i use dvdshrink to encode and burn the movie ive been using this method for well over 6 months with no problems
