I know that i .vob is a video stream and can load into the program, and it demultipluxes and all, but is it recommended, or it doesnt matter. Im asking this because i've been having trouble with .vob's in dvd-lab pro. And what about .m2v?

Had bother with DVD Lab in that it only takes one movie file per project (from what I could see). Used Nero Vision express to export my collection of VOBs to MPG2 format (single file), then DVD Lab de-muxed it to m2v and AC3 for me. Needed to do this to insert subtitles for Kung Fu Hustle. Then re-muxed and copied to HD in DVD structure. Burned resulting files with Nero. Perfect results btw.

Your wrong about "it only takes one movie file per project." I have done tv shows and put 4 episodes on one project. It requires lots and lots of links and time. But it is possible.

another alternative to what bawjazz explains is to use VOBEdit, which is way faster to Demux all...

long ago, b4 having an encoder, I used to encode with VsoDivxtoDVD, then Demux the Video_ts with VobEdit and author with DVDLab Pro. Long time, but satisfactory results (most of the time)

I logged in on March 1st 2005, and it's incredible to believe that in so short time I've learnt all that I know about DVDs from this forum...

You could also use ReJig, which works better on AC3 audio (from DVDrips), to Demux.

Black holes are where God divided by zero...
