I remember when it used to take me like an hour tops to analyze, shrink and burn a dvd. Lately it has been taking longer. It took me three hours to copy "Made" I am using a pentium 4 2.4mhz, 1gig of ram and a usb 2.0 burner. this is the setup ive always had and it never used to take this long. i need help badly

Go to your device manager and make sure you are in DMA mode - sounds like your system may have reverted to PIO mode - this will slow your times considerably.

Very good advise from colw. Even though your burner is USB your other drives may have switched to PIO mode..

Also may want to defrag your hard drive and run a spyware program on your system to make sure there isn't any spyware gobbeling up your resources..

cheers

Also here is a link showing you how to change your DMA settings just incase you need it http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking%20DMA.pdf
