Just pull it out - it should snap out, but be careful, dont break the white disk in the preocess of taking it out.
If it doesnt snap out, or you cant find it, post here again and hopefully we'll be able to solve your problem :-)

holy smokes, thats impossible to get out! YOu'll have to do some tricky cutting around the white disk to get it out.

instead of having those 3 black thing sticking out to hold the white disc.....mine is a whole black ring covering it to hold it....i was thinking of breaking off parts of it to pop it out but dunno if that would ruin it or not?

well, if your putting the white disk onto the fliptop for good, i think you can break the black thing that holds it. It wouldnt hurt to try, but Im not responsible for anything bad that happens to your ps2

yep i already saw yours - i took the previous link and removed the '
seems like its pretty hard to take it out. You'll have to first remove the black thing that protects it to even get to the white thing.
Just be sure, dont break anything while you are trying to take the black thing off (except probably the black thing) but remember-you wont be able to revert to the original case anymore, you'll have to use the fliptop forever (unless you buy an original case from the internet later on).
Anyways, good luck, and im not responsible for any damage done rto your ps2.

Bump
Sorry I'm just wondering what happened with this, I just ordered my fliptop for my ver 1 and am curious if I can expect the same hassles? Did you end up getting it out? How did you do it and were you able to salvage your original casing?
Thanks for your help.

haha, actually theres no need for cutting the original cover at all. It actually takes less than 2 minutes or even 1 min if u know how, to take off the white piece. Just think of it like a key chain ring where u have to bend or push up and slide. For the white piece, it should have 3 openings around the white round edge, just choose one opening, use a small flat head screwdriver, push it up a lil and slide it around. You should be able to slide it out after sliding 1/3 of it out on top.
But now my problem is, whenever I boot up my games, theres this scratching noise in my system and dont know where its coming from. If u have tha same prob and find out what it is,....please do share haha

Well i'm sure you could give anyone one guess to figure out where it's coming from. It more than likely has something to do with that white magnet and how it's sitting against the disk. i've heard some people have rigged something underneath it so that it would sit lower and that sound has dissapeared. It's not affecting gameplay is it?

i think my white disc is perfectly fine, game boots up fine too, just that noise is coming from around somewhere in the center....something touching the white disc?? my cover closes alright too.. thing is if i take out the white disc and put it on the center w/o closing, it runs perfectly. i think it has to do something with the center of the flip top...seems lyke it closes correctly cuz its able to read
i aint really sure tho haha

ah...that sound has happened to many people. It is because the white disk is just abou2 2mm away from the disks itself (cause of the fliptop). Some people put a book on top of the ps2 to stop the noise, try that if you dont like the noise.
