I am using DVD Decrypter. When I rip to my hard drive.....then try to bring it up in DVD shrink...when I open the folder, nothing is there. When I go to the folder itself (outside of DVD Decrypter) the files are there. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Elamont,
Depends... How did you copy the files to your hard drive in Decrypter? (file mode or ISO)
How are you trying to open your file(s) in Shrink? (Open Disc, Open Files or Open disk image)
what files or type of file do you actually see on your hard drive?

You aint doin nothin wrong I dont know why it does this but is does so I just Drag the file out of harddrive and drop into shrink.
you do not have to put it in shrink inless it is too big for blank disc. What happens if you shrink a image that is already small??

Real nice, I help someone out that you could not and You make me look like a fool for asking if shrinkin a allready small iso will make the movie look bad.I no I could of searched for the info but I was tired and I dont care about commpressing.
stop posting just to up your stats I see your posts every were
and they dont help.
you could of atleast helped me out and told me what was wrong with MY response instead of being mean you should know better Addict.
If I dont know what i did wrong I will continue to do the same
if you want me to stop tell me what I did.

You honestly see nothing wrong with that post? He aint doin nothin wrong as you like to say (I guess thats getto talk) Well evidently he is doing something wrong or they wouldnt have posted. Your soulution would only work if the files were ripped in file mode which we have no idea of because elamont didn't say? What does happen by the way if you shrink an image that is already small? Well to be exact if you put the files in Shrink and it requires no compression then absolutly nothing..

I didn't make you look like a fool. Your post did that just fine. Maybe you should not be so tired and read a little or even use the program DVD Shrink and you would know it isn't only for compressing. It can do a lot more. As you said though you didn't care.

Really.. hmmm lets see already Addict so what exactly is the next step if I get more posts? You see I have no reason what so ever to up my post count. I really don't understand what the deal is with a lot of you newer members?

If you haven't noticed there is someone here that needs help so if you don't have anything constructive to say in regards to the original posters problems. @elamont: In DVD Decrypter if you rip the movie in File mode you should have a folder with a bunch of VOB, IFO and BUP files. If this is what you have, then hit the Open Files button in DVD Shrink.
In DVD Decrypter if you ripped the movie in ISO Read mode, you should have 1 or 2 files, one of them an ISO file and the other an MDS file. If this is what you have, then in DVD Shrink you need to click on File, then Open Disc Image and find your ISO or MDS, doesn't really matter which one.
@NINVIN: What's your problem? Bbmayo has helped tons of people here and he's probably one of the most respected members here. Just because you don't know the full capabilities of DVD Shrink don't get mad at other people. Yes your way might work, but there's other ways too. If you're just going to start wars here why don't you find somewhere else to do it?

I simply want to know if the term "Ghetto Talk" is meant to be derogatory or not. It doesn't matter if someone is a new member or an older member, there is no need to use that type of slur.

Well why don't you PM one then? You are the one really trying to start something here. For your info I grew up in a ghetto so I know what one is. You are somewhat right however and I in no means meant it to be derogatory it's just a term used a lot when growing up I should rephrase and say Ganzta slang. It was simply meant to imply his vocabulary wasent all that good. If you want to read more into it then that is your problem not mine!

This is correct but when he clicked on file and opened up, the mds and iso dont show up I also have this problem so I just wanted to give him an easy answer.Drag and drop
And Im the only white kid in this ghetto and I dont mind that statement.

I just wanted to Add, With DVD Decrypter
I file>iso Read , when done I close.
If image to big I put in shrink,
I go to open files and the image is never there.
So I drag and drop.
I could just open disc but I dont.
As for open disc image I never tried this
sorry never heard of it till now.
Thank you for your help and correcting me!
Im also sorry I came off as rude.
I only posted cause I have a related problem that I solved.

That is why I asked the original poster in what mode he ripped the DVD in. Because then it could be explained better as to how he/she could open it. Your way of trying to open the file is wrong thats why you werent able to open it check this out.
If opening files in Shrink Click on "Open Files"
If opening ISO or image file (which is what you have) Then simply click on "File" Then select "Open disk image"
You see you were trying to open the ISO as a file and you aren't going to see anything. You must open as disk image or you can continue doing it the way you have been..
