Oh, man. I accidentally pulled mine out when I installed my flip top case. I had a hell of a time trying to find where to put that. It is on the right side, the side with the cd tray and circuit boards. When you are facing that side the connection for the ribbon cable to the motherboard is on the far left at the bottom (in the corner basically). It is somewhat behind the black plastic "shell" that goes around everything holding things together. It is extremely hard to get to without moving that. I suggest unscrewing a side of that black plastic "shell" and having somebody help you by carefully and gently lifting it up and holding there while you attach the ribbon using tweezers or tiny needle nose pliers. Make sure you line up the little metal pins before pushing it back in, and don't force it too hard. It won't go in as far as the other ribbon cables you see, atleast mine wouldn't, but it still works. Make sure the person holding up that black piece doesn't pull too hard, because there are other cables that could be pulled out. Both you and your helper should be careful not to bump that area. Plug in the power and check to see if your Eject/Power buttons light up before putting the case back on. If they do, then everything should be fine to put the case back on. Be extra careful when putting it back on, because the ribbon can (and most likely WILL) get in the way. You don't want to crunch side of the case down on it, because it damages easily. They are cheap to replace, but it's still a pain in the ass. Hopefully this helped you. I would have shown you a diagram picture of the connection if I could, but I was never able to find one myself when I had this problem.
