STEP BY STEP GUIDE
1. RIP ISO using dvd decrypter .........GT4 should be just over 5 gig and i have heard that GOW is 7 or so
2.Transfer iso to your hd. eith directly plug it into your computer or do some kind of networking. to transfer you MUST use WINHIPP ver 1.7.3 (or higher)
3.Download "Fully patched hdl 0.7c" this can be found under the files section on www.ps2hd.com
-then burn the iso you download to a cd-r using dvd decrypter (that means you must have a mod chip or swap magic to boot fully patched hdl 0.7c. (you can also use MC exploit but i no nothing about that.)
4.after you plug your hd back into your ps2 (<----thats an important one) boot up the fully patched hdl 0.7c and click on your dvd9!

ITS THAT EASY---------------credit for this method goes to the guys at ps2hd.com

v4 ps2
Hd Advance 2.0
120gb HD
Black fliptop
SwapMAgic3.3
"for $6.99 a game at blockbuster, i better get to play it for more then 3 days"

Nice guide, but you probably should have added in the HDD support on your thread title. When a person looks at the title of your thread, they are not sure what method it is used for.Such as Toxic patching for modchip method,or ripping for Swap Magic boot disc method or so forth. The thread title will probably throw a couple people off direction,if they have no clue what boot method it is describing.Still though it is good information you are supplying, just a thought on the next guide you make. The more information you supply only makes it better.

Hi, I am a new member. I have the whole 8GB God of War ISO on HDD (through DVD Decrypter). I have also downloaded the Fully Patched HDL v7c and has burned it on a CD-r but my PS2(modded) doesn't boot it. It just shows the memory card icon and a blue disk. I have tried several times. Whats the reason? Could it be like I haven't used DVDdecrypter to burn the image on the CD. Using an exploit seems very complex. Plz help me I really want to play GOD OF WAR.

I don't know anything about playing from your hard drive, but this is how I got God of War to work on my ps2 with SM 3.6.

1. burn image with DVD DEcryptor
2. download this software and follow instructions
Expert (Gnie's new rebuilding tool):
Gnie's PS2 Auto Rebuilder Tool Download (Thanks to 3DLuis):
http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar
Instructions to Gnie's Tool ExPERT:
From Anthony 05:
Download it and then follow these instrcutions and it will work.

1. select Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins list.
2. Select the iso.
3. Click extract LBA
4. Click extract file
5. Click rebuild file
6. Click rebuild lba.

Make sure you do it in that order.

3. burn new image with DVD Decryptor at 4x on good media
4. Boot up with SM 3.6 and it should play

This is all I did and it worked fine last night. I played it for 45 minutes with no sound or voice hiccups or anything. Hope this helps.

I also ripped and burned The Guy Game using the same method.
