Ok the setup is I have a ps2 slim with a magic kx+ chip in it. It will boot everything except ps2 copies. So I went to find the problem and found wire a that attaches to what I believe is a resistor(103). I resoldered the connection there and then my motor would no longer spin so I pulled the 103 resistor that wire "A" attaches to off to check its resistance and see if I had cooked it...well wouldnt you know as I was touching the leads of my multimeter to it it shot up in the air and is now lost somewhere... so now I have 3 questions I hope someone can help me with. I think it is a 10000 ohm resistor but am not totally sure and also dont know what the watt rating a a resistor that small would be.

1. Anybody know where I can get another resistor...if that is indeed what it is, can it be replaced with a normal resistor and if so what is the resistance of that 103 resistor.

2. Could wire A / the resistor be causing my problem with the motor not spinning.

3. And finally any idea why it wont boot ps2 copies, goes to the red screen and says please insert ps2 disc...assuming I can get the resistor replaced and it is what is causing the problem.

Everybody out there I appreciate any help you can give me.
