Cant get dvd decrypter to burn at a low speed

I burn the iso image then try to burn it, but even though I select 1X, it still goes to 15X and the image does not even burn correctly. It says on the right hand corner that 1X is supported, so I dont have any Idea whats going on. Can someone please help me?

I've recently had a similar problem, I found that a new media that I had switched to was the cause. The disk said that it supported 1x-8x burn but in fact it would only support 6x OR 8x. It took me awhile to notice since I usually set the process in motion and walk away. I had set decrypter to 2.4x burn in the drop down menu for write speed but after the process started the burn was set at 8x automatically due to the disk's lack of support for slow burning. I have read a few threads that said the newer 8x media often ends up burning at 12x - 16x by some sort of default or firmware conflict. If you do a search I bet you could dig up some more info.
