ok, i've been after a copy of 'Action Replay Max - Evo' for awhile, n just recently i've decided to download it via torrent, now that i've got it i need you guys to help me step by step on what to do so i can enable it to boot on the ps2, without any dramas.

You need either Swap Magic or a Modchip to boot it.

never mind, i just brought 'Action Magic Replay - Evo' so dont need to worry about buying swap magic, thanks for the help btw.
