im new to doing backups etc so this mite sound like a suptid question. But what is the difference between dvd-r and dvd+r? and what disc is more suitable for backing ups ps2 games, and which is for backing up dvds.

depends on your dvd writer. Like mine, HP dvd writer 400c doesn't write to DVD-R. I need to use DVD+R. ALthough I can still read from a DVD-R.
Use DVD+R anyway, there the same price.
