When using dvd decrypter the read rate never gets higher than 1.5X and usually stays at 1.0X. Im using a pioneer 109 as master on the 2nd IDE, transfer mode is UDMA4. Flashed to 1.57, tried to cross flash to AO9 but get the message "available target is not found". Swearing at it doesn't work so im all out of ideas.

that's usually because the firmware flasher expects the burner to be on a particular interface ie the master interface on the secondary channel or whatever..but it should tell you

BCookie,
You are trying to flash a 109 w/ A09's firmware. Although they might be the same they ia a little different and that is why it is not seeing the burner. The burner is usually locked @ 2X to read and you will need a hack to open the speed of the burner.

I got the AO9 hack and flashed the drive but still the same problem. used Nero test speed and got a speed of 11X. in the decrypter log i got this
W 18:28:27 Drive C:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB
could this be a part of the problem.

no, that's just an info message - FAT32 file system cannot handle single files over 2GB in size. programs such as DVD Decrypter create 1GB file chunks by default

BCookie ,
You need to convert the fat32 system over to NTFS. What OS are you using?

Creaky,
I swear you must have Computer Forum ESP. The quickness of your answer w/in 1 minute of his question is mindbogling. Hell it takes me longer than that to type when I answer a question

lmao, i'll let you in on my secret. when i'm at home i go thru all replies in my inbox in one hit 'til they're gone, then i attack a few forums in one hit and the cycle continues until i need a break. I have a Blackberry for work but it receives virtually no work emails so all it does is beep for all the afterdawn stuff, that's how i know the posts have arrived. I leave Microsoft Webmail running on PC so whenever Blackberry beeps i just refresh the webmail and hop onto the posts from there. It is tiring though, especially with so many of the posts being repetitive questions, but i live on Google and i refer to the AD's search function heavily if i can't quite remember small details (which is common for me)
