How can I get an individual scene from a DVD in to a format that I can use to make a new DVD? I have extracted the entire video from the original source, can play it from Windows Media Player, but need to get a scene for a school project. We have recorded other video with a mini DV camera that we will be editing in to the new project and want to insert a fight scene from the DVD in to the project. I have Adobe Premiere on my PC, and also have a Mac in the house with iMovie, iDVD, etc. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, this is my first post.

The start/end frame button works fine. But what if I want to extract multiple scenes from different DVD's and copy the final result to one DVD? Is this possible? and is it possible to create some kind of simple DVD-menu?

Repeat the process with Shrink with each DVD. When done , then use Shrink again to putthem back together.

After getting all of your clips from your DVD`s, use Shrink this time instaed of opening the disc, click on the button to the right " OPEN FILES " . Browse for your files and you are in business....

When I choose 'Open Files' I can open the files from DVD1 (../VIDEO_TS) without problems and the file list is shown under DVD Structure. No problems here.

But when I want to open the files from DVD2, the first list disappears and a new list with the new files are show. How do I combine these two filelists.

By the way...the programs does not allow multiple extracts from different DVD's to be stored in the same directory. The program apparently wants to overwrite the 'old files'.

You create a separate folder for EACH clip from EACH DVD. After you have the clips in their OWN folder,[ for example 5 clips in 5 separate folders ] that is when you reopen Shrink, click on OPEN FILES , browse to the folders and add each file to your new compilation.

You will do as 72Morgan has suggested, but the only difference is you need to hit reauthor right away in Shrink. Then browse for your first file and drag it into the right window pane then click on reauthor again and browse to your second file and drag it into the left window pane continue to do this until you have all your files then click on backup to create your DVD..

:-)
