i am at my wits end, i have used winavi and then nero burning room and i get write errors. so i changed to vsc divxtodvd and copytodvd with another movie file and i still receive "write error 4" i can't figure out want i did wrong. the process seemed simple enough, i don't know where to go from here. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

where during the burn is this write error occuring? What kind of media are you using?

IT NEVER START TO BURN!!! DID I MENTION I USE CopyToDVD AND Nero. THE WRITE ERROR MESSAGE STARTS AT THE BEGINNING THE ACTUAL WRITTING NEVER STARTS IT STAYS AT 0%. I KNOW ITS SOMETHING I'M OVERLOOKING

FORGOT TO MENTION I USE SILVERLINE DISC. I LIVE IN ISRAEL. THIS TYPE OF DISC HAS WORKED WELL WITH COPING A DVD.

Can you post your Nero log? Go to C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Nerohistory.log and post the last section of that, but don't post your serial number. It begins with 1A23 or something like that.

My guess is you may have to upgrade your firmware on your burner, or you could go with different discs. I've never heard of Silverline discs, maybe they're just sold in Israel.
