currently using dvd shrink and nero- both movies have failed with the message "copy protected" sector protected or words to that effect. also tried using dvd decrypter- no luck- any ideas- break it down very simply bit new to this. many thanks jabjones uk
jabjones,
Had no problem doing both movies w/ the last version of DVDDecrypter. In using DVDDecrypter did you put a check mark by Mode - File and then make sure you also clicked on All Files .
yeah i forgot to add, there's no funny protections on either film that both programs can't deal with. apart from meet the fockers being an excellent film and ocean's 12 being a bit pants LOL
I did both these movies with Decrypter and Shrink with no problems too. There is nothing special on the disks. You could try the trial version of AnyDVD, available at http://www.slysoft.com See if that works, and see if you still get the same message. If you do then maybe your disks are bad and you should take them back and get some other originals.
@creaky
You critique of Oceans 12 is right on, it was really not that good.
i wanted to like the film, but they tried to be too clever, and made the film like a rollercoaster, the end result being that simple ppl like me couldn't keep up. a wasted opportunity, but ah well, there's plenty more top films out there/coming out.
It just seemed like they made the movie for the money, and did not put much effort into it. Sometimes sequels are good and sometimes not. I thought Bourne Supremecy was better than Bourne Identity. As you said there are always lots of movies to choose from.
