dnc,
Welcome to the forum. Did the movie w/ no problems using last version of DVDDecrypter and Shrink. After reading your thread re-did the movie using AnyDVD and Shrink also w/ no problem. You might have a bad press. Are you getting in DVDDecrypter any read errors when you rip all of the files to HD in file mode?

I agree with Car.Mike this movie has nothing special and did it with Decrypter and Nero Recode. Your disk is either dirty and you can try cleaning it, or is a bad press so take it bake and get another original.

We did this movie with DVD Shrink and a burning program. Piece of cake! I agree that problem above could be a damaged or dirty disk.

Yeah I agree with both Car.Mike and arniebear you might have a bad press. I was able to use
AnyDvd and Shrink
and both worked.

I borrowed the movie from a friend and I was able to back it up. I will be returning my movie on Monday.
Thanks to all.

You got a bad press. I did it with decrypter, and Nero recode 2, just as everybody else, nothing special.

No problems here either with a Region 2 copy, using Shrink and AnyDVD

Million Dollar Baby is nothing special to worry about -- DVD Decrypter alone can "decrypt" that baby easily. I used DVD Decrypter to do the job, then Nero Recode 2 to encode and back up flawlessly. This is just another piece of cake for DVD Decrypter to bite.

I ripped it twice. Once with Decrypter, and once with DVDFab (which may be heir apparent to Decrypter IMO)...

What is Nero Recode 2?
I've been using Nero Version 6.6 to burn movies, no problems ever, except I can't burn Million Dollar Baby. Movie rips fine with dvdshrink.

Quote: What is Nero Recode 2?
Recode2 is a trancoder similiar to DVD Shrink and actually written by the same author as shrink. Mr DVD Shrink works for Nero now.
