hey there, i have a slim ps2 and i just bought an older version ps2 so i can put a HD in it. i have a V4 3000X model. i think im gonna go with the HDadvance instead of HDloader because ill be using a maxtor 200gb ata133 8mb cache that i will be putting in the ps2. and i am also planning on buying a color fliptop case from ebay for $35 so i can use my swap magic 3.3 if needed. should i format my HD before i put it in the ps2, if so what format should i use? and if i bought a used network adapter do i need the sony network adapter startup cd to install it or do i just need the adapter? thanks guys.


they have hdadvance 3.0 pal, do they have that for USA or is 2.0 the latest?

Ok 1st go to clearxbox.com to buy a fliptop.
2nd when you get hdadvance 2.0, hard drive and the network adapter just install it in your ps2 and put in hdadvance it will format it for you and all you have to do is start putting your games on it.

I don't know anything about a hdadvance 3.0

just the adapter. you only need the install CD if you plan to play games online with your PS2.

could i trust that? i havent ordered from ebay.com before. or should i pay the extra few dollars and buy from clearbox.com?
