OK, I Have A Question That i Cant Find an answer to...
When Useing Swap Magic 3.6 Boot Disk, If I Have my PS2 opened and the Lens cover loose, Do I Need a Flip top ?
Let me Clearify... My slide tray is broken, so to play games i have to open the ps2 up remove the plastic lens cover and place the cd in that way ( so i have a makeshift fliptop) can i just buy the boot disk and play backup dvd games that way?? Whats best to use dvd+r or -r

Yea you can play PS2 backups using that I guess. Just dont press the eject button while swaping.

as far as what media to use, i use -r but i heard +r works as well.
i also heard and it makes sense to use good media. i hear verbatim a lot and there are others i can't remember. i use sony.

OK First of all i like ur Swap majic but 2 make everything easier get a mod chip like me i got a matrix Infinity 1.38 and its great

Ouch sounds like your ps2 is busted man, the flip top might just fix things up for you tho, depending on what is damaged.

Yeah My PS2 Has Seen Better Days, i Broke The Slide Tray By Trying to Pull It Out with a screwdriver (lol) Not A Good Idea!

hey, thasungod
most modchips you have to solder in. the matrix infinity has 18-20 wires to solder in depending on what version you have.
i love my modchip b/c there is no swapping but it is a pain and a potential ruin the ps2 with a modchip install.
if you don't mine swapping, it is safer.

The matrix infinity is also great beacause it has free upgrades on its 512 flash memory and it has a laser fix so ur laser never gets damaged

how? i want to preserve the life of my ps2 as long as possible... so i was thinking about purchasing a solderless mod chip, or HD advance.

well, you'll need a usb hard drive as well. but yep, thats all.. and u can store games on the hard disk as well, but many people said on here that it was wack, but this dood on here "primitive" seems to have no problem with it. thas why i'm very skeptical.. like 1 out of every 5 people have sucess with it.
