you need a modd chip or swap magic disc to play back up games. Swap magic disc is only about 35 bucks at www.swapmagic.com i think that is the site.

NTFS allows your hdd to store any size files on it. I believe FAT32 only allows up to 1gb file sizes.

However, dvddecrypter can work with either file system you have, but with FAT32 it will break it into about 4 files rather than just 1.

What version ps2 do you have? What method are you using along with your SM disc to boot (i.e. fliptop, slidecard, etc.) Also, what media are you using to burn on?

guys, you all need to read the rules. no caps, no email addies, and you need to try to speak in a clear and grammatically semi-correct way. that means no shorthand text-speak type stuff, okay? just trying to prevent your bannings. :-)

ricik, if cheap dvds are working well for you, that's great. you're having a hell of a good luck streak. but for the most part, the general populace should only use ritek, Verbatim, taiyo yuden, and a select other few for a minimal number of backup errors.

scarface, just so you know, some games have to be rebuilt to play well. look around on AD and you'll find out how to do it.

tutorials on rebuilding and ISO and other stuff
http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id4.html#guide%20to%20fixing...

Also the Swap Magic has to be the original bought copy which i assume you already know. a downloaded version will not work.
Use good quality media as Auslander suggested
and i hope you have version 3.0 or above because 2.0 will cause a lot of games to need patching or rebuilding.

And what games are you trying to do, that would help.
