Are there any precautions or special rules that you must take before burning Playstation 2 games on Dual Layer DVD's.

Because I've heard that you have to reverse the way that your DVD Burner burns. I've just had a recent problem with a game when I was about half way through it, it didn't load to the next area. Maybe the game was changing from layer to another (on the DVD Dual Layer disk).

So if someone could me any insight or tips for burning PS2 games on DVD+ DL Disks it will be appreciated

You might have problems playing dual layer games for your ps2 beacause not all mods support that format

i can't help you on this one (well i could if i searched thru the forums but i don't do PS2 backups) - i'd suggest doing a quick search. i would suggest searching thru some of the PS2 forums here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/ as i've no doubt this kind of things comes up quite often. look out for replies by squizzle (maybe even do a member search on squizzle and look down the list for PS2-specific replies..

My modded PS2 has trouble reading Verbatim DL movies. I have a Matrix Infinity mod chip in a V12 PS2 (slim one). I burned most the movies at 2.4x.

I think if you split the game onto 2 normal DVD-Rs at the layer break you can swap in the 2nd disc as the layer break is most likely a loading screen. I know this can be done for God of War for example, but Id look thru the forums on a per game basis to be sure if its possible.

I'm pretty sure that only the DMS4 supports Dual Layer games, and you have to flash it with toxic's new os.
