Hello everyone,

As an official DivXtoDVD ßeta Tester, I would like to say:

Keep your eyes open today, VSO are just about to release

---> VSO DivXtoDVD Pro v2.0 Release Candidate <--

http://www.vso-software.fr/

Screen Shots are available on their website...

- Has a totaly new interface that can be customized with dockable panels.

- Video and Sound synchronization has been worked on and is much better than the Preview Freeware v0.5.2b

- Has a built in Burn Engine.

- *.srt files (Subtitles) are supported.

- Insert Chapters each xx minutes (Customizable)...

- The demo is NOT time locked, it will run 100%, but will have a WaterMark in your output.

Because of the WaterMark, it will run a little slower than when you purchase it, so expect it to run faster when you purchase it !

- Lots of new little features...

Happy Converting Time...

Hi there,

CORRECTION: I was told that VSO will keep a link on their webpage for a while, to download their Freeware Version.

This is why in the past, we told everyone, grab it while you can and save it in a safe place :)

if your a beta tester, maybe you can relay the message that this program needs an option for how big you want the output file to be. That would be totally awsome!

Hello Kyle2k,

Thanks for your interrest in DivXtoDVD !

There is no need to have an output selection as you mentioned, because DivXtoDVD already provides you with the best it can.

(Decompressing / Converting or whatever it does !)

There is currently an option where you select DVD5 / DVD9 / Custom but it's currently not fully used.

It will eventually just want you:

You project may not fit on a DVD5 (Your Selection).
Please consider removing 1 or more input files.

Maybe something like this.

1 x 700mb AVI files usually ends up at 2.0gb / 2.5gb.

If someday you have a huge .AVI file, and the output is something like 5gb or 6gb, use DivXtoDVD to convert your files to the HD (Don't burn yet) then use an other compression tool like DVD Shrink to reduce it to fit on a DVD5.

Does this answer your question ?

I hope you enjoy the new v2.00 Pro Version !

Hello,

I would like to make clear that the FREE version is still available and will remain so. You must visit the VSO website (www.vso-software.fr)

Do note that most links to DivXtoDVD will download the new version----but remember via VSO-software.fr the free is still available.

However, I suggest at least taking a peak at what the new version can do.

Hello CAGal,

Thanks for the update, I tought VSO was pulling the Freeware one off their site.

Sorry for the wrong information !

After running the v2.00 RC, and comparing with the Free one, the new one is way better :)

Hi there,

Yes, the new version in demo mode has a watermark all the way throught.

It will be removed, and the software will be quicker when you purchase it.

It was under heading DivX to DVD Download, however we have solved the problem and have 2 sites to obtain required info......the older version seems to run faster and NO watermark, think I WILL stick to it.

Hi there,

You are right, the older version will/might run faster, because it has no watermark.

VSO just told me, they will release a new build soon, that will allow users to run v2.00 for 1 week in demo, without the matermark.

Then you can really get the feel of v2.00

v2.00 improvements:
Quote:
Version 1.99.11 - Major pre-release.

* Added subtitles support (srt format) - up to 32 subtitles channels, switchable on dvd
* Added language definition for all audio/subtitles tracks
* fixed engine issues for improved playability (smoother video, fixes audio problems, fixes timing (shaky video) problem, fixes chapters problem, ...)
* improved preview window, now previewing up to 30 fps
* user interface totally redesigned, with full support of drag/drop operations and dockable panels
* integration of a burning engine based on VSO burning SDK
* Shareware - the trial version add a watermark on the video and run half the speed of the registered version
* Lot of settings added - min/avg/max bitrate, font for the subtitles, target size, include originals on dvd, burn after conversion, ...
so keep your eyes open, you just might enjoy v2.00 as I do !

The new free trial version is enough to put you of DivX as it takes twice as long to convert as the old 5.2.99
