@psp1234...you will need Umdemulator V8c or Fastloader 7 to play your isos and a memory stick big enough to hold the ISO's i suggest a 1 gig or 2 gig memory stick, also you will need Winrar to Unrar the files for the ISO's....and for the ps2 question...i would use DVD decrypter and you will need a dvd burner and either a mod chip(in your ps2) or the swap magic discs to be able to play the burnt games...

I AM SORRY TO BOTHER YOU BUT I AM NEW TO THIS AND I HAVE DOWNLOADED THE FASTLOADER V0.7 AND INSTALLED AS ASKED BUT WHEN I GO TO PLAY GAMES THE MACHINE JUST FREEZES ON *** INITIALIZING *** AND THE GAME I HAVE SELECTED DOESN'T START. I HAVE CURRENTLY GOT A UMD GAME ( APE ACADEMY) IN THE MACHINE. YOU SEEM TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING SO COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME.

@gerald31...first off hello, second try not to use all caps(you're screaming at us, and plus it's against the forum rules ;) )...now onto your question...ok what firmware are you running on your psp? 1.0? 1.50? 1.51? 1.52? 2.0? 2.50? 2.60? ;)
@psp1234...they both have their advantages...i just installed both onto my psp(you can have both, they won't mess with each other while running)fastloader 7 has a built in umd dumper so you can dump your own ISO's..while umdemulator 8c has a umd emulation and can play almost every game, except with a few exceptions(GTA, LOTR(although it can be played with a save game exploit), the Hustle(this one can also be played but has to be unpacked and exploited...but can't be played as is))
and you can grab both umdemulator and fastloader from the link in my sig or you can do a google search for it...good luck ;)

to whoever is monitoring this or whome ever is not a "newbie"... when does my status change from being a newbie and what are the qualifications to jump up a level. if it is posts then i think i should be a little higher because iv helped ppl and asked a lot of questions, if anyone were to track my posts i have praised a lot of ppl too like evnflow.. that guys great everyone listen to evnflow he knows his stuff!

thank you evnflow uve been a great help .cud u make me a guide on how to run and install iso's and emulator games because i get relly confused :S where the files go to play games and wot good games is ther i can play on a 32 mb mem stick but i no it can only b emulators i can play. because i have pursuit force ssx usa and 50 cent on iso's but dfo not no how to transfer them onto my psp. could u pleez help with giving sume guides on how to run and install iso's and emulator games thank you

Ha ha solargame ya i kno but thats not what im trying to do i was just wondering.. but uh u dont need to be mad, but ya i get tired of ppl who ask questions about things weve talked about already... psp1234 weve talked about that and there are many guides to installing isos just look at past entries and type it in google

psp1234....if you are trying to put ps2 games onto your psp you can't...you can only use umdemulator for psp games..sorry

hi is it possible to make copysw of your own psp game . for eg if i put a real psp game i have bought and put it in the psp is ther any way to make a copy of the game cin the psp to my pc. also how do u rebuild games . GUIDES would be a great advantage to me as im a complete noob lol cheers (Y)

They run programs on there psp that will copy the inserted umd onto the memory stick, then they copy those from the memory stick to the computer.

i downloaded ape escape and it came with this readme:
Put APE_GAME in ROOT
Put common in ROOT
Put Ape & Ape% in PSP/GAME
Is that all i have to do to play Ape Escape.
And whats a ROOT? is it the memory chip you can buy in stores?

the root is on the memory card not in any folders.
I have tenchi web browser but i don't know where to put the eboot file it comes with. can anyone help?

@whtdrgn...yeah it should work...that's the old skool way of playing the psp games(it's been patched)
@jalathole...lol, man i'll have to try to remember how to get that browser working..been so long since i've looked at it..you can try the fired up browser(it's just an iso that loads up to a browser), you can use umdemulator or fastloader to start it...

ive tryed the fired up browser but is is very inconvienient to have to go into it like that it would be good if i could get tenchi browser working.

I've huge problem w/ my Ghost in the Shell SAC iso. I played it before it was totally fine. Now I can't see a single english letter. Even "save"/"load" crap, nor briefings - NOTHING!
Tryed format card - no results. Using UMD_Emulator_V0.8C

1. hi guys, just bought a psp v1.5. I got games APE, D2R, Lumines, nba2k5, smartbomb, and wipeout pure on the net. I got the nba and smartbomb and Lumines working, but APE and wipeout, D2R won't work. These games aren't in iso format so I'm using MSLOADER2.5e to load these files.
The instructions are:
-Put APE_GAME in ROOT
-Put common in ROOT
-Put Ape & Ape% in PSP/GAME
So when I run msloader and select APE_GAME, after loading, the only thing i get is a black screen, then my console hangs up. The nba has a /common folder and so is the APE_GAME, so I though there's a conflict in the contents, so overwrite the common folder with the APE's but still cannot run it...Any ideas?
2. How can I convert non-iso games to iso if i don't have the UMD_DATA.bin? I'm using 'UMD GEN v1.00' to convert these files but still can't get to work as there's no UMD_DATA.bin file...please help, where can i get UMD_DATA.BIN files...
