copy, I also have Roxio some movies burn. But although I have AnyDvd running it still tells me the disc is protected.. I thought Anydvd would decode...When I use 123 copy it goes through the process of burning but afterwards it tells the disc was mastered incorrectly. Get rid of Roxio -- this is one useless program, not only that but it will conflicts with Nero and your other ripping/burning programs as well. Additionally, Roxio will make you see more "coasters/failure" down the road. You can keep 123 Copy if you still need it. The choice is yours to make.
Your Nero and AnyDVD should be able to handle the job easily. However, you have to make sure that your Nero and AnyDVD both is the latest version. The majority of "senior & addicts members" at afterdawn agreed/said that AnyDVD is one sweet cracking/decrypting program, which I totally agree with them (but I have not use AnyDVD yet).
On the other hand, you can get DVD Decrypter - this baby is free and will crack/decrypt any encrypted protection codes flawlessly as of now. Perhaps you may want to download it here at afterdawn.com while it still available before it's too late.
In conclusion, AnyDVD and Nero will be fine (if you have both legit copy), but it won't hurt to have DVD Decrypter (free and it's working flawlessly). Below is a super simple steps:
01) rip your original movie with DVD Decrypter first into your hard drive
02) open up your Nero and use Nero Recode 2 to encode/compress the movie
03) open up Nero Burning Rom, Nero Express, DVD Decrypter or any of your desire burning programs to back/burn your files/movie
