I went and made a batch file for extracting the pss files for downsampling instead of doing it manually here is the link for the batch file http://rapidshare.de/files/3294819/GT4_PSS_Extractor.rar.html .I also put a little guide in there for peeps that never used this before.I am still working on the join batch, having a little trouble with it at the moment though because alot of the vids are missing the wav files.I keep getting error messages about the wav files when trying to mux the files back into a PSS file.Sonix gave me the idea from the God of War downsampling guide he posted awhile ago.

I know it is kind of late to probably post this for some people, but I guess for those that haven't downsampled to make the full game it might come in handy.

@L-Burna. Does PssPlex not work if you try to remux with just the m2v file via command line?
I've knocked up a couple of different versions using my toxic patched version just to try a few things out. It was OK doing a rip using the original tool on the Toxic version, but when using the new tool and downsampling, you get the old freeze after autoload logo thing again. You can get around it with a savegame, but I can't get arcade to load. I'll try a few more things, probably with a few deletions and see what I can find out.

L-Burna. If you want to post anymore batches, etc. You can use my file forum at http://fileforum.mywebhut.com/forum/index.php (Straightforward registration stuff). I've created a section called "GT4 Rip Kit". Just post files there and then link to the page. I might as well make some use of it now I got it working lol.
EDIT: Note the site address change.

I gotcha covered man ;),yeah bro I am having problems just forcing the program to mux it into a PSS file at the moment using command line.It is coded for .m2v and .wav association only for command prompt(everytime I run my batch it asks for the wav extension, been trying to come up with a way around it though),but the gui works.I think by using the program in command prompt it is lacking certain strings that can bypass the .wav and just mux the .m2v file into a PSS file.I will keep working on it and see if I can come up with something.I never thought the Toxic patcher would actually have an effect on it like that, but yeah it sounds like a problem man. What was the size of the game once you where done messing with it.It could have something to do with the size of the finished product. It could happen I am guessing, the arcade mode was trying to freeze on me when I was scrolling through the different courses.I didn't keep my size down to 1.25Gig as was mentioned, that is the safe mark.If you can try to limit the size down to 1.25Gig in the extraction folder,it might fix the arcade mode.Just a couple ideas to try out that might give you better results.I'll keep working on the mux batch alright bro,if I finish with it I will make sure to post it on your site.

Great stuff. I'm just doing a bit more maintenance so it might be down for a while. Still a mere fledgling site!

Has anybody tested new tool and downsampling with unpatched IOPRP300? My previous failure started to haunt me so I decided to mess up a little more, I extracted downsampled movies from my failed DVD5 for further using but my original GT4 (PAL) is borrowed at the moment and all I have is Toxic patched copy so I can't continue from there right now. Maybe some friendly person would send me that file...?

Ooops sorry can't do that.... That's illegal! Unfortunately any of us that share that file with you (Copyrighted) would end up being severely dealt with.
I'll apologise in advance to anyone who registered on my forum. The database crashed and the last time I'd backed up was 2 weeks ago. It's restored now but anything up until then (Including new members) was deleted. I've added the files in again and will start updating the boards again. I've also modified the links earlier in the thread.

It's ok, simpsim1, I didn't think far enough. Fortunately my friend agreed when I asked nicely him to return my original tomorrow ("you will bring it here immediately, I don't care how far you've played, I need it for testing purposes!") so I can continue again. I'll tell you results then, maybe it's better to read whole new image from original than just replacer that other file since I don't know does the Toxic patcher modify other files too or not - at least starting point of the project should be fully stable.

Can't get my rips to work... tried several times, but just stalls at startup screen where it says about wearing a seatbelt etc in real life.
First time I followed the tutorial exactly and used sonix' recommendations about what to delete etc.
Second time I deleted different files.
Still got same problem.
I created the Iso with cdvdgen and DOS... could that have anything to do with it?
Burnt at 4x.
Any suggestions about what could be going wrong?

@Sonix. I think the original tool you made should be available too, as it's more idiotproof (Pardon the expression) than the updated one. I must say, I've had mixed success with version 1.01 and I've not yet worked out exactly what's working and what's not.
The Lan play didn't work in the toolboy patched HDD version, but I have no idea about this one. Maybe someone with a lan card could try it out. I would imagine that it would have to be run on a machine with either swap magic or a modchip that is not detected over a Lan though.

As long as there's no objection from sonix, I'll mirror his tool at http://fileforum.mywebhut.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=10 which incidently is the new address for any of the files listed in thread (Had to migrate the whole site due to bandwidth). Sonix just holler if there's any probs and I'll remove the post.

@mybarras, had to send your activation link manually. Hope you got it. Failing that, just let me know and I'll activate you.

Just to update. Yet another successful burn on an NTSC system V7 PS2 using Swap Magic 2.0 and Sony DVD+R media. Everything for GT4 works flawlessly. Sonix, you are the man. Thanks to all for their hard work.
