tried to usedvd shrink for back-up used decrypter and tried to back up. got a couple of messages:
Need windows original
WNASPI32.DLL
could not open driver
trying systemASPI
i hit ok and it says "encountered a problem and dvd shrink needs to close??? does anyone have an idea what's happening? I have downloaded dvd shrink again, decrypted twice and still the same error.

I only used Decrypter 3.5.4.0, ripped it as an iso, then brought the MDS into Shrink..no problems. Shrink alone probally won't do it. You may want to try AnyDVD running in the background as you're running Shrink. Worth a try.

shrink alone worked for me on disc one didn't do disc 2

shrink worked for me also until i tried to back up today-wonsder if it's an internal problem that doesn't relate to the software. it was perfect 2 days ago-no prob with DVD Shrink or decrypter??

I had trouble with this disk so I used Dvd- decrypter and then burn the file with Nero, no problems however by using this method you forfit the Title screen

got Constantine a few days ok (UK PAL), no problem whatsoever using just plain ole DVD Shrink

Hi ripmayer,
When are you getting the errors exactly? Is during the process of ripping the movie to the hard drive or is during the burning process?
It sounds like you may have lost your ASPI drivers some how? Then it seems like you would be having this problem with every movie though? So it is kind of a wierd error if you are only getting it while doing this one movie. hmmmm Here is a link where you can download that file it says you are missin http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?wnaspi32 you can try that after you download it just unzip the file to your windows\system directory that could solve your issues :-)

doh didn't see the ASPI bits, that'll teach me, wasn't looking when i pasted previous reply. either way when you get past that problem there's no problem with Constantine

I made a copy of Constantine using DVD Shrink and had absolutly no problems. I changed the compression ratios to give the most to the main movie and it came out fine.

Had no problem here with the movie decrypting or shrinking at all. Sounds like to me thats a file that windows uses so maybe its one of the files there. good luck with that!

Do a search for that file like on google or yahoo and see what it says that file controls and see if you can download it from somewhere

decrypter to hard drive, shrink(main- movie only)to compress and Nero to burn worked beautifuly, no problems.
Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.
