i don;t known what program to use if i want to for example convert a dvd movie that is on my hard drive and i have use dvd shrink and dvd decryted . i want this movie to be converted to mpeg so i can put it on my psp. thank you for the help.

divx to dvd converts AVI to mpeg2.

Better yet whats the original file in.If its a dvd movie it should already be in an mpeg2 format

what i did was that i decrypted a dvd movie and then i use DVD2One to conpress it and well all this files are on ifo bup VOB so what can i do to make this movie original a dvd to a mpg

a VOB is an mpeg2 compatible file

okay i need to convert this file to mpeg cuase the i will need to use another convert so that the psp will play whatever video i;m trying to see that why i need to known what or which program i need to so that i can convert this dvd that on my hd to mpeg

Some programs (e.g. ImToo DVD Ripper) can rip a dvd directly to mpeg1, mpeg2, or avi:

okay thank but i don;t want to pay for this program do you have another optium and will this program even rip encrypted dvd movies??

It's indeed a commercial product, but I think it has a trial period? ImToo can handle the more common ripping problems (e.g. region code, css). But it really doesn't matter 'cos if you have a hard to crack disc, you can always rip to harddisk first with Decrypter (file mode). Then ImToo can take it from there.
