This has been eating me up for a few days....
Does anyone have a general idea as to how Swap Magic made their swap disc for PS2 compatible? (So that the console would recognize it as a valid disc). I doubt Sony helped them out with that.

If anyone knows any info or websites that explain how it's done, that'd be cool.

I understand the original ps2 games have bAD sectors on them and the console looks for those bad sectors to determine the validity of the disc.

Answered my own question, sorry I couldn't find this thread before.

They used a dvd press and pressed the swap magic code over an original ps2 game (crazi taxi usually). Thats also the way they made gameshark, etc.
