HELP! PS2 wont read dvd/games!

all of the sudden my ps2 slim wont read ps2 dvd/games..it does however read ps2 cd games and aduio cds..whats wrong here? is there any solution to this? btw im using the swap magic 3.6 and flip top but i dont see how that can be a problem unless the laser is wearing out from backups? if so i need helppp thanks

simple. i assume your slim ps2 is still under warranty replace original cover and go get yourself a new laser. if mine was still under warranty thats what id do. if not sounds like all the cleaning in the world wont fix problem.
