I'm quite a n00b on shrinking and burning dvds so i'll be brief. I used DVD Shrink to shrink the VIDEO_TS files but alls it did was back them up. I need a program which will make the VIDEO_TS files smaller so they can easily fit onto a blank DVD disk. Also, i need a DVD burning program. I tried setting up Nero Burning Rom but during the installation i got an error. I appreciate any help.

Hi Space-Man,

You have the right program for doing what you are trying to do you just may need some guidance ;-) I have just the thing for you see the link in my signature? The first one? Go there and use one of those guides to back up your movie either the 1st or second guide should do just fine for you :-)

I think i confused you. I need help shrinking DVD files not backing them up.

No I understood you.. Shrink will shrink your files as well as back them up. Are you ultimatley trying to back up a DVD movie onto a single layer DVD blank disk? If so then those guides will help you out.

Ok this is what i'm trying to do. I downloaded a movie and want to burn it on to a disk. Will you please give me instructions on how to that and what i need to do that.

bbmayo, thanks for all your help so far. I have managed to install Nero but i don't have the option to burn a dvd. I have the option to burn a data dvd but i dont think thats the right option.

If your going to ignor my replies then why do I even bother? If you would have used my last link provided you would have had everything you needed to convert, compress and burn your AVI into a DVD..
