WinDVD Creator -How to dump hard drive after DVD burned?

Hi, when I download my videos, edit & save them to .mpg files, burn them to DVD and then go back to download more, even after I delete the files from the C: drive by going to My Videos and deleting, my recording space continues to shrink instead of open back up. I am down to 20 minutes of space left now and can't burn what I have because it has to be resaved again and there's no room left. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
