It could be your media, or what speed you burned it at. I only know a lot about DVD Decrypter try buring at different speed.

the issue with tiger 2005 is "golf sucks"...but seriously, what was the size of the game files before and after you extracted them?

and if you could, post the files and the order you put them in.

I am having the same problem with that game. The weird thing is that the disc works fine on my old PS2 with a Messiah chip, but on my new v12 with a DMS4, I get slow loading between screens. Sometime the game never comes back from the load screen.

This makes me think that it may not be the media since the old PS2 is a hell of a lot more picky when it comes to that. The v12 can read pretty much anything whereas the old system would require multiple reboots no matter what disc you put in.

I would like to be able to get rid of the old system since the DMS4 works a LOT better than the Messiah but since TW 2005 is my favorite game right now it makes it kind of tough to do.

I'm gonna have to look into that. Because I backed up tw 2003 on my hdd and when it plays video it makes a wicked load ringing and then the audio starts over again and u here it twice. But I'm trying new games everyday and I'm interested in that game and will find out what's wrong if I have ne problems but everygame I've backed works fine off and online with no problems at all.

the clicking you hear is caused by the extreme quick movements of your lazer to read the burnt game.... only happened for tw2005 when i burned it, i opened up the ps2 and the cd lazer area and put wd 40 on the poles which the slider moves on. Hasn't clicked since, but still loads like a laggy bitch and freezes...

I burned TW2005 with DVDDecrypter on Maxell DVD+R @ 2.4x and 1x, both sucked horribly. The 2.4x menus were very lagging and the music tracks were also skipping. I didn't bother waiting to get to the game on it. On the 1x, the menus were fine and ran smoothly, but the loading of the game takes such a long time. I let it sit on the load screen then searched for a fix of it, and it finally loaded after about 10-15 minutes. Maybe a "rebuild" is in order, not sure what that entails or would do though?

How do you mean you "fixed it"? Im about to try booktype --> DVDROM now.

Also, do READ errors ever happen? I toned down my read speed this time to 8x to maybe get a more accurate read of the game. ANOTHER EDIT: The files had the same exact byte size so I dont think reading is a problem.

OK: I can't change the booktype, I always get "FAILED" error when I hit change. Right now my booktype is set on DVD-R but Im using DVD+Rs... :( Maybe its failing because I flashed a cracked firmware onto my NEC to allow DVD+R burning. It initially was only DVD-R compatible on the firmware level, but the laser and drive itself is obviously DVD+R capable once you change the firmware a bit. Anyways Ive made many DVD+R game backups and movie backups, so this SHOULDNT be a problem but I bet it is. Ill try and buy 1 verbatim DVD-R tomorrow just cause I love this game so much.

KK (my 4th edit): I guess the dvddecrypter is messed, as its detecting a DVD-R in the drive when its a +R, which is maybe why the booktype change is failing (refreshing does nothing but keep the DVD-R). Also, flashing the new firmware also opened up new write speeds, mainly DVDDECRYPTER shows only 2x, 4x, 6x, and 8x in the window of write properties, although I can select 2.4x and 4.8x which was what the initial firmware supported.

alright...here is what you do..Take the iso and open it with isobuster and make a folder..put the contents of the iso in order into the folder.you should see 2 files named PADDING.BIN and PADFILE.PAD these are dummy files...make 2 text files with exact name(PADDING.BIN and PADFILE.PAD) do the spacebar thing and save each text file.now delete the 2 dummy files from the folder and put in you 2 text files. now open Nero and an do a udf/iso compilation and place the files in the order they were in isobuster...burn at 4x and its should be perfect...good luck.

first off, is there a guide to all this?

what order exactly?

what spacebar thing? also, wont the text files ACTUALLY be names padding.bin.txt and padfile.pad.txt , except with the .txt extension hidden?

never used nero before to burn udf/iso format before. Thanks for the reply tho, I will try this after dinner and studying, and once I find out about the spacebar thingy. Also, what media were you using? (company and +/- R)?

the order wou want is the order in which they appear in isobuster..you want to create a folder on desktop and name it like TIGER WOODS 05.. and have it open with isobuster so you can drag the files to the folder off the iso..and yes dont actually add.txt to the text files they will be hidden and automatically on there...just type PADDING.BIN and PADFILE.PAD

I made PADDING.BIN (notepad text file, 1byte large/4kb on disk) and PADFILE.PAD (notepad text file, 1byte large/4kb on disk) and put them in the place of PADDING.BIN (950MB) and PADFILE.PAD (10MB). Then I just burn that folder's contents using Nero's udf/iso feature and presto?

also: in nero, i cant get the files to be arranged in the same order as in ISOBuster, mainly the last 2 folder, and the .txt's show up. SS here: http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/4601/tigerwood0cz.png

anyways, before i waste another dvd, ill wait to hear from ya.

Well, the first time I put it in it worked very well. But with each time I put it in again, the load times get longer and longer. I think it's up to 5 min per hole now, not fun to play anymore. And my vice city has stopped working in all parts now so Im kinda scared to put in my real tw2005 disc, although all my other games are working fine. Maybe I should go and try to buy a TDK/Verbatim DVD+R and try it again, maybe with dvdrom booktype?
