I have an X3 modchip installed on my V1 Xbox. When i disabled the chip and try to boot the the orginal dashboard. It just keeps rebooting. Does anyone know how to get the original microsoft dashboard to boot when disabling the chip.

That's strange... What I would do is get slayers, and reload the orignal dash files on your Xbox and see if that changes anything.

Ive already tried that several times. When I disable the chip you can see the M$ dash flash up for a sec then the Xbox just reboots and will continue to do that until I turn the chip back on.

Well, I'm stumped... I would go to http://www.teamxecuter.com and ask in their forums, or go to http://www.xbox-scene forums and ask there. If you ever find out an answer to your problem, let me know as I'm interested in knowing how to fix your problem!

doesn't your hard drive have to be locked before you can boot into the ms dash? I recently put a 40 gig in mine and it cannot be locked so I can't get into mine, although I really have no reason to, I just thought it had to be locked.

Yeah, if your HD does not support locking, then you will not be able to boot into your original dash. Is your HD locked aodark? I didn't even think of that one

PROBLEM FIXED! I got bored and decided to try a few things. I put my stock Xbox HD back in. Then I ftp'd into the Xbox using X3 Config live. I copied all the files on C: to my PC. I also decided to move Avalaunch and EvolutionX to the F: drive and configured X3 Config Live to boot dashboards from F instead of C:. Now only stock files are on the C: drive. Everything works now I can boot to M$ dash so I can listen to "good" music while playing Burnout 3 & GTA: San Andreas. Thanks to all of you who read this post and gave advice. Hopefully this will help someone else who is having a problem booting to the M$ Dashboard.
