When using DVD Decrypter I get two files after I copy them to my hard drive. a small MDS file and a large ISO file.
Do I write just the MDS file, or the ISO file to the DVD-r?
or both? and if both how do you doit with DVD Decrypter?
Thanks
Dave

yes it is,the mds acts as a feeder for the iso,in the same way as the cue acts for the bin image
users on fat32 systems need to always select the mds file,as this joins up the 2 halves of the iso when it is split into 2 parts(for images over 4 gb only)

So hursty..
Do I burn just the MDS file or both the MDS and ISO file?
If just the MDS file will the MDS file make DVD Decrypter also burn the ISO file during the burning process.
Sorry for all the nebie questions.. but I am a newbie.
Thanks
Dave

Hursty.. THANK YOU.. It worked.
As I?m typing now my son is playing on a back-up copy. Now I don?t have to worry about them scratching the games to where they can?t be played any more, I can just make a back-up as soon as we buy the game.
I want to thank every one who helped me over the last week, and if there are other newbie?s like myself reading this give Steimy?s web page a look at. It really helped me. He also has a good diagram of swap disk slide card if you ever lose yours.
Again.. Thank all of you
Dave

I would say that it may be, or it might also be that you have to add a patch, or rebulid the game...
My Story:
Used DVD Decrypter, burned ISO of retail copy of Death by Degrees. No luck, so I burned MDS file, works file.

Burn the MDS even though the ISO should still have worked.
If that does not work try rebuilding the ISO. That works sometimes.
If neither of those work search these posts for that game title and see if anyone else had a problem with that game, or if it needed to
be patched. I know Fifa Soccer didn't, but do not have Football.

Lol m8 do a search!!!!... but Ill tell you. You will need a Slide Tool, or a Fliptop with Swap Magic. Or you can have a modchip installed.

No, as the PS2 would simply come up and say " Please insert a Playstation or PS2 format disk", in other words, put in a real disk.
Swap Magic tricks the PS2 into allowing your backup to play.

you will need more than just Swap Magic
If you have an older chunky style you need a slidecard
or flip top case.
with a slim you need an aftermarket flip top, flip top case,
or slimtool
Otherwise the PSTwo will reset when you try swapping
the Swap Magic for your backup, no worky
