I have a copy of swap magic 3.3 but I need to put it on disk. Does anyone have a list of files that's on that disk. I searched but cant seem to find the right topic. I unzipped and burned what I thought were the right files to CDr but they didn't work. Do I have to burn them to DVD for the PS2 to recognize them? My slim PS2 is tweaked to open with the power on.I just need swap magic on a working disk and I'm in the lane.....THX

I dont't think you can burn a bootable copy .You can do a one for one copy but then you'd either have to have a mod chip or a the real copy of swap magic to boot it... it's a redundant paradox.........

yep you cant burn a copy of swap magic, has to be pressed discs in order to boot

as you know ps2s do not boot backups without a mod, and a copy of swap magic would be a backup

PS2 games are actually pressed DVD/CD discs, they are not burned. PS2 games use the Burst Cutting Area (BCA) of the disc to identify themselves to the PS2 unit. The BCA is not part of a disc that you can burn on, it is only replicated on pressed discs.

So, the only way to play backups is to get boot-discs or a mod-chip.

With the boot-discs (swap magic) you need a 'tool' to open
the tray without pressing eject for the backups to work.

I know the cost is troubling you but I used to use swap magic. It brought a big grin to my face at first but not as big as the grin when i changed over to a HDD. The change cost me about £80-90 by using Ebay.
