Converting REAL player into WMP.

Hi


Is there anything out there that changes the REAL ONE video files into WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER format? I used "Real Alternative 1.42" codec, but this one will only allow me to watch it in WMP. Not to store it.

I'd appreciate it if somebody can help me. Thanks.

Windows Media Encoder I believe takes input via dshow, so if you can play it back then it should be able to convert them to wmv files.

yes. If you want to play on WMP, you'd better convert your rm file to wmv format.

You can convert rm/rmvb files to wmv or AVI by winavi

hi, thanks for the links.

But the 2nd link is not really that great. Because when you concvert them, a message appears on the centre of the video all of the time(advertising to buy the product). Plus the conversion process stops at 4 or 6%.

the first link is confusing, what was i meant to click?

hi, thanks for the link.
But unfortunatly it dosen't work. I;ve already downloaded teh software and installed it. But for some reason, it can't read that I have RealPlayer files. that file (the picture shown) should contain a real player clips. but it just can't read it. why?
