v70001 w/ magic switch pro help?

As you might know, the 70001 has a metal piece where tool C should be. My magic switch still hasnt arrived yet, but i wanted to know if there is a possible way to remove the metal piece externally. I don't want to void my warranty since this is my third ps2, especially since i bought this yesterday. any clue?

mythus Wait for the magic switch / slimtool. Anything u do 2 ur PSTwo (that is not recomended by Sony whether internal or external) voids ur warranty. The trick is not 2 let them know it has been tampered with. It is quite easy 2 remove & replace the anti-tamper sticker without damaging it(the sticker), u heat it with something like a hair dryer till the gum gets very soft then carefully lift it off. Works on V1 - V12. The whole idea of the sticker is, if you pull it off cold it will leave void void void behind on ur console. With the undamaged sticker u have the best of both worlds, as u can go in 2 ur console & mod etc & if u stuff it up, just reassemble it with the intact sticker & return it under warranty.

Thanks man I just realized that I unfortunatly have the latest model which is V13 so the sticker is under one of the screws. IF ya find out anything new comes up with my PS2 slim V13 let me know. Thanks anyway.

i have v13 ps2 also, how can i save the warranty sticker? can i use slimtool even tho the metal piece is there? is fliptop hard to install for the slim ps2? thanks

No,With that metal piece there you really can't use the C tool for the Magic swtitch pro. you can open your slim ps2 and void the warrenty if you'd like you just need to place a strong piece of tape over the part that the C tool is supposed to go tricking the system in thinking that the cover is always closed.
