I followed the how to but on mIRC when I enter #xbins on favs and join, there's nothing there. First it says "talking in xbins" which I think is the first indication something is wrong. Then I enter "msg xbins !list" as instructed by the howto then the original connection window (in mIRC still) says "xbins No such nick/channel"

when ur in mIRC u know how is says type in username and all that, type in anything just keep it kinda short
click okay
then click on favourites which is the 2 buttons away from the lightning bolt
type in
#xbins
type in the # as well, it all has 2 be in lowercase, exaclty as it is written above
press enter and wait a while
dont press anything or do anything
soon a window will popup and it has xbins written up the top of it so u know u are in.
type in /msg xbins !list
exactly as it is written above make sure that you put in the / and make sure there is a space between xbins and the !
so it should be /msg (space) xbins (space) !list
okay now there should be an icon flashing red that says xbins it is located under the favourites icon u clicked on earlier
when u click on it it has a FTP address a username and a password these are the things u need, the port should already be on 21 when u connect to the FTP site
sorry if it is kinda hard to read if u hav any more questions u can pm anyway hope it works!

Nope, still no nick/channel. What happens is, the flashing xbin button never shows up. everything is as said up to that point.

I'm connected but i dont know what efnet is. I'll start my mIRC and see what it says now.
It says Xelium (irc.xelium.net) Does that answer your question?

About downloading auto-installers, even with torrent files it's a HUGE download. especially since I only have 256K (slow cable) the download time for the slaYers was several days and the new/other auto-installer was more just under 700mb. I do have a question. I found evox elsewhere and downloaded it. It was a small download. Do I need the autos? Do I have what I need, evolutionxv1_8_458_iso
The chip I ordered is a pre-flashed, so I think I have what I need.

Slayer's is much easier to set up and it will save you a lot of headache.
