DVD won't play in DVD player

I recently downloaded a movie from bittorrent. I extracted the iso and was able to encode it using DVD Shrink and burn using DVD Decrypter. The problem is that the DVD won't play in my DVD player, naturally it works on the hard drive though. I don't think it's the media because I haven't had this problem before and I'm burning at 1x so I don't think it's the burn speed. Any suggestions?

look at the notes and make sure it is your format - PAL or NTSC. Since you're probably American you want NTSC. A lot of bittorrent sites carry PAL versions of dvds, especially the Pirate Bay, because it's Swedish, I think.

PAL and NTSC DVDs aren't compatible with eachother.

It usually says in the description, if not check the user comments. If you can't find it PM me with a link and I'll tell you. DVD software will play both formats, that's why you can play it on your computer.
